I am terrified and don’t know who to ask what. I’m at retired NYC teacher under the UFT. I ended up in Myrtle Beach SC for reasons out of my control. I have a severe form of refractory generalized Myasthenia Gravis, am 99% homebound, on oxygen 24/7 and have a multitude of severe symptoms. I see my neuromuscular physician, am treated, frequently admitted and have procedures done at Duke Univ. Hospital & Medical Center in Durham NC. They do much of clinical research for MG. I had to retired a little early, got a disability retirement from NYC and SSD (no attorney involved). Now at 67, it is social security. Every doctor that I continually see now charges me a copay. This began around Jan 2022. I must pay because I continually see the same physicians. Without ever worrying about the term network, I’ve been paying $300 for each 11-13 day hospital admission. I don’t know what to think, imagine or do and would appreciate any feedback to clarify the situation. Please text me 561-763-5012.

I do not believe any of the current healthcare proposals impact current retirees.
