The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire in 1911 New York City was half accident and half capitalist slaughter. Most of the victims were recent Italian or Jewish immigrant women and girls aged 14 to 23 being paid deplorable wages. The doors to the workrooms and exits were locked to prevent the workers from taking unauthorized breaks and from stealing fabric when unsupervised. There was no way to alarm or phone those who worked in those rooms when a fire broke out on another floor. There was no way to escape and no safe haven. Capitalist owners intentionally ignored this and refused to plan for an emergency.
National laws were created so this horrific slaughter would never again occur.
Fast forward to 2021 America in an Amazon facility.
"Amazon made warehouse workers leave their phones behind before entering work even though there were general warnings of dangerous weather in the Midwest and the Edwardsville area all day."
The capitalistic slaughter continues.
Don't bet on national laws to be passed. Bezos and other billionaires own the lawmakers who will offer up their thoughts and prayers to the dead and injured, but do nothing.
After a century and a decade, America fails to protect the lives and safety of its own people who work for a living.

Corruption as government is deadly.
