“We pulled out children... We pulled out young and elderly people. The fire in the camp was unreal.”
President Biden warned that an attack on Rafah would be a red line that if crossed he would stop sending military support to Israel.
That was clearly bullshit.
Israeli tanks are in the center of Rafah.
At least 45 people were killed in the strike that caused a large blaze at a camp for displaced people.
Hundreds more were treated for severe burns, fractures and shrapnel wounds, according to Gaza health ministry officials.
The red line is nowhere to be found.
Netanyahu called the killings an accident.
As opposed to the rest of the genocide, the killing of innocents, which is clearly on purpose.
The killing of Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was also called an accident.
Nobody has ever been held to account.
A million Palestinians have tried to flee Rafah in the past few days.

Meanwhile a story in Politico reports that there is a full blown freakout by Democratic leaders over the sorry state of the Biden campaign.
All year, Democrats had been on a joyless and exhausting grind through the 2024 election. But now, nearly five months from the election, anxiety has morphed into palpable trepidation, according to more than a dozen party leaders and operatives. And the gap between what Democrats will say on TV or in print, and what they’ll text their friends, has only grown as worries have surged about Biden’s prospects.
But, what the hell?
These “party leaders and operatives” were the ones pushing Biden down our throats in the first back when there was a progressive alternative and when all the polls told them that most Democrats wanted someone other than Biden.
We told them it would be a hard sell.
Plus it has only gotten worse for Biden since then.
Young voters in particular have been the core of the peace movement calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Instead Biden has tried the transactional approach to winning the youth vote, promising student loan relief and changing the legal status of weed.
And ignoring the calls for ceasefire.
Young voters are not buying what Biden is selling.
The youth vote cannot be won by pandering.
