The NY Times on the war in Ukraine. Buyer's remorse.

Reading the New York Times editorial this morning, it appears they have some second doubts about their earlier full-throated support for NATO and the United States’ in Ukraine.
Shall we say, buyer’s remorse.
The Times has a pretty sorry record when it comes to encouraging U.S. military interventions and only later realizing that getting in is a whole lot easier than getting out.
Like the Iraq War.
The editors of the Times are not just speaking for themselves. They represent a large section of the financial and political ruling class.
In this morning’s editorial they remind us that earlier they took the stand of “what ever it takes.”
Now they complain that Biden and war hawk Blinken have not made it clear as to what the exit strategy will be.
Or ultimate goals?
Do we want a negotiated settlement or regime change in Russia?
And what about inflation?
This thing has become kind of costly.
And then there is the threat of nuclear catastrophe.
Yesterday the Senate voted another $40 billion in aid to Ukraine. Only a handful of the isolationist Republicans voted no.
How long will this support last, the Times editors ask.
And it’s a good question. They might have thought of it sooner.
