The war criminal Netanyahu arrived in D.C. yesterday.
At the invitation of the MAGA Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, Netanyahu will address Congress on Wednesday.
At the last count 100 Democratic congress members have announced they will not be attending the speech.
Normally the vice president would be up there behind the podium.
The now presumptive Democratic nominee for president, Kamala Harris, has let it be known that she will not be attending the Israeli prime minister’s address either.
Some called it a snub.
Netanyahu has been charged with war crimes by the International Criminal Court.
ICC Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan is seeking arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant over actions taken during the war.
Rather than some symbolic snub, the Biden administration should arrest Netanyahu and turn him over to the ICC.
However it may be that even Harris’ snub of Netanyahu’s speech may not exactly be a snub.
Both Biden and Trump are expected to meet with the war criminal while he is here.
As will Harris.
Private meetings with Netanyahu?
Some snub.
I have long contended that Biden’s downfall was not just about his age and faltering speaking ability.
The earliest signs that Biden was going to have difficulty getting re-elected emerged last February during the Democratic primaries when hundreds of thousands of voters picked uncommitted over Biden.
Gaza and Biden’s support for the Israeli war was the issue for many Democrats in Michigan and other primary states.
Harris can break with the failed Biden doctrine if she chooses.
