The movement protesting U.S. support for Israel’s Gaza War shows no sign of going away.
In fact, it grows larger every day.
Congress members berating a bunch of spineless university presidents won’t stop it.
Those same spineless university presidents calling cops to campus, as Columbia’s president did yesterday, won’t stop it.
Columbia has too long a history of student protest for justice and peace for it to be turned back now.
I still recall the Columbia University take-over of several buildings in 1968 to protest the war, Columbia’s cooperation with war research and it’s planned expansion into the Black community.
Even as a college students thousands of miles way in Los Angeles, we followed and cheered our Columbia cohorts on.
We cheer them on today.
