Biden and the Democrats are looking weak in 2024. He should do the right thing and not seek re-election.

See that map up above?
That’s the 2020 electoral map after the election between Trump and Biden.
Now check out the blue states of Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Those all went for Biden in 2020.
The latest New York Times/Sienna poll shows Biden losing those same states by big margins.
If those numbers continue, Biden will lose the White House.
When the Democrats come to Chicago for their convention next summer, if they nominate Biden it could very well lead to the disaster of a Trump victory.
If other polls show the same thing, we are in big trouble.
And I have no idea who that other Democratic nominee might be.
Voters under 30 favor Mr. Biden by only a single percentage point, his lead among Hispanic voters is down to single digits and his advantage in urban areas is half of Mr. Trump’s edge in rural regions. And while women still favored Mr. Biden, men preferred Mr. Trump by twice as large a margin, reversing the gender advantage that had fueled so many Democratic gains in recent years.
Black voters — long a bulwark for Democrats and for Mr. Biden — are now registering 22 percent support in these states for Mr. Trump, a level unseen in presidential politics for a Republican in modern times.
The Black vote, which essentially saved Biden’s ass in 2020, is not showing up.
Bernie Sanders, who energized young voters and who then remained with the Democrats and voted for Biden, show no enthusiasm for this guy this time.
I’m not using this space and this time this morning to analyze why Biden is doing so poorly.
Certainly the state of the world, our involvement in two hot wars and a new cold war with China all have something to do with it.
Bottom Line:
Biden should do the right thing, pull an LBJ, and retire.
