As a relative newbie to New York I am - and will be for a while - still learning my way around the subway system.
The MTA has more stops and stations than any other rail system in the United States.
It carries more passengers a day than the next three busiest systems combined.
We sold our car in Chicago before moving. Now our three basic modes of transportation are walking, busses and the subway. Specifically, the F train.
It so happens that the F goes from my nearest station in Brooklyn directly to Bryant Park in Manhattan with no transfers.
Tomorrow at about 2pm I will take the F to Bryant Park for a 3pm rally against the war criminal, Benjamin Netanyahu, who is speaking this week at the opening of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
The protest is being called by Jewish Voice for Peace and Code Pink among many others.
First with booby-trapped pagers and now with missiles and bombs, Netanyahu is turning Lebanon into another Gaza.
Netanyahu needs never ending wars to keep himself in power.
The events of October 7th can no longer be used as an excuse.
All this is being done with American arms.
If you are in the New York area tomorrow, hop a train, call a l
Lyft or grab a bike.
